Southern Water Pathfinder Project and Fairlight Preservation Trust collaboration

Today the Trust had a very successful collaboration with the Pathfinder project in Rockmead road, where the lateral foul drains that connect into SWA’s system were camera surveyed and 2 points of entry of groundwater into the system were identified. Southern Water will now address these which will prevent in drier times, foul water escaping and getting down to our wells which we believe will help with our boifouling issues. As these laterals were installed by the developers who built the houses Southern Water do not have records and we have been working with permission of the house owners to locate the drains to enable today’s survey to happen.
